The Existing Fence Dog Containment Arms when coupled with a welded wire or strong poly fence will secure your 4' or higher fence against jumping and climbing dogs. The arms can attach to most walls and fence types including but not limited to wood, chain link, wire-backed split rail, decorative aluminum/wrought iron, and PVC. The arms are made of 1 3/8" diameter 16 gauge galvanized steel tube and are finished with a UV stable black powder coat finish.
Works on nearly all fence types:
The arms secure to wood posts with screws or lags, round metal posts (like for chain link) with U-Bolts, and square metal posts with Square U-Bolts.
Both fence options are secured to the Dog-Proofer arms with our black UV stable 120lb test Heavy Duty Zip Ties.

Product is fit for purpose, brackets very sturdy and mesh is tough. Instructions very clear and easy to follow.

All items arrived in two boxes and were well packaged. Everything was in easily identifiable plastic bags which helped in assembly.
The Houdini fence works as promised. I have an exuberant 1 year old Newfoundland dog who learned that if he jumps up and down a few times, using the top rail of the fence for leverage, he can sail right over the fence. The Houdini fence works like a charm to now keep him contained. He still stands on his hind legs with front paws on the top rail, when something of interest passes by, but makes no effort to jump or try to get over or through the Houdini fence extension.

We ordered the entire Houdini-Proof fence extension system and we are SO happy we did! After spending a significant amount of money on a beautiful split rail (w/chicken wire) fence, our Treeing Walker/Blue Tick mix promptly climbed over it. Repeatedly. Constantly. We live on water and she loves to swim. I found the Dog Proofer Houdini-Proof Curved Arm kit online and watched the videos and read all the reviews. I figured it was worth a try. We also loved that it’s a Michigan based company. It came quickly and was super easy to install. Super easy! Our dog sat in the yard and gave us a look of defeat while we installed it. She knew she was out of luck. It disappears - it’s not noticeable from the deck or from our beach. It doesn’t even show up in photos. We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend this company and product. We fondly call our yard “Alcatraz”.
Leo is our standard poodle (daddy long legs) and was able to jump our brand new fence in less than a month. The dog proofer system worked like a charm. We tried a few things and within a few days Leo would figure out a way to jump over again. This was the only thing that worked. Easy install and great customer service.
We purchased the dog proofed system for our 1800 foot fence around our property. Ordering was a breeze and the sales rep helped us find exactly what we needed. Order arrived within a week which was much sooner than expected and a welcome surprise. Installation instructions were clear, and it was easy for us to install ourselves. I was concerned about how it would look aesthetically, and along the tree lines it is almost invisible! Overall very very pleased with the system, and we haven’t had a dog jump it yet!!!!
I purchased three extension arms to add to my existing "cat containment" for our yard that I bought from another company that is no longer in business. Turns out I only needed two. But it's good to have a back up. These are very sturdy and good quality and look like they'll last a long time. I especially like that the upper arm can swivel which is good for working around corners and hard to reach areas.
We have an escape artist dog and had a problem section in our yard. Works great!
