Dog-Proofer 3-Sided Outdoor Dog Runs are an easy-to-set-up system to allow your dog safe but limited outdoor access. The 3-sided design allows for easy attachment to your house or other structure. This system is perfect to install in front of a patio or sliding door, or in front of a dog door, to allow your dogs to go safely outdoors anytime.
This system does not require posts to be anchored into the ground for support! It utilizes a free-standing framework which sits on top of your patio or ground surface and has both a top and bottom rail that provides ample strength and structure to the enclosure. The system comes in two footprint sizes, 7.5ft x 7.5ft and 7.5ft x 15ft, and is intended to use your house (or another building/structure) as the fourth side. We offer the system in 42 inch or 64 inch heights.
Our 3-sided dog runs utilize 1 ⅜” diameter galvanized and black powder-coated steel tubing and black powder-coated welded steel fittings to form the framework. An advantage of this type of construction over panel-style dog runs is that the lengths of the sides can be customized by cutting down the tubing with a pipe cutter. The strong steel framework is covered in a high-grade galvanized and black vinyl-coated steel mesh with 1.7” x 1.7” square grid. Heavy-duty UV-rated zip ties and a tie tool are used to secure the fence mesh to the post framework. Included Post-to-Wall straps are used to secure the dog run frame to your building or structure of choice.
The system is intended to be set up on a relatively level ground such as a grassy side yard, side alley, deck, or patio.
If the dog run is set up on top of dirt or grass, we offer an add-on kit that provides a “dig-proofing barrier” to the bottom of the run. This is an additional layer of galvanized and black-coated steel mesh which is attached to the bottom of the dog run and then secured tight to the ground with kinked ground stakes. This creates an “L” shaped barrier of metal at the base of the dog run so dog(s) are not able to dig under the system.
