This bundle includes the Stanley Hog Ringer and a box of 2,500 hog rings. The hog ringer tool is an optional time-saving tool. The hog ringer is used to secure the welded wire or poly fence to a chain link or other wire fences.
My dog managed to squirm between the old 4 ft fence and the new welded wire from dog proofer until we used hog rings to attach old to new wire. You need the tool to attach the rings. Tool occasionally jamming up with retained rings not a deal breaker. Used a screw driver to pop out jammed rings and kept going but wasted a bunch of rings.
